Read on to get an insight into his amazing story, take on his journey, message for young budding artists etc. #Localturnon: What is the history to your taking up Music – how did it come into being, your journey etc? #Hashiso: I have inherited music from my mother. Her love for film songs and her singing helped me to take music to next level. My father used to sing devotional songs and even my elder brother used to be an avid listener of music and songs so all this music around me helped me in building up a good musical sense in me.When I participated in a singing competition in my school, people started recognising my talent. Now when I look back I realise that it was during that school event that my singing came into notice for the first time. #Localturnon: So who are your favourites/ Icons/ Role Models in the field of music? #Hashiso: From my childhood I had an ear for melodious Hindi film music. I have always loved AR Rehman and Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s compositions and now a days I like Amit Trivedi, Vishal Bhardwaj and many more. In 90’s my favourite singer was Sonu Nigam. Now a days my favourite singers includes Vishal Dadlani, Nikhil Dsouza, Mohit Chauhan. Good Lyrics always matters for me and that’s why I love Gulzar, Javed Akhter , Irshad Kamil. Amongst the western musicians I like Slash, Bryan Adams, bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith to name a few. #Localturnon: How do rejuvenate your creative insights / get the adrenalin going? #Hashiso: Good listening is always the key to success for a musician. I listen to world music, from folk to EDM and follow what’s going on in the industry, what my idols/ favs are doing, and I let my heart make its own compositions. I love to listen to new upcoming artists as well. #Localturnon: Does your Music carry a message / a theme or a story? If so can you share more on it? #Hashiso: Actually I never start without a reason. My philosophy is that a social message should always be there in my composition. For example, my upcoming project “Vicharon ka Pollution” carries a message about degradation in our thinking as the title itself speaks about the project. The lyrics of the song is a direct hit on the society, people’s present lives seem to be a takeaway and continuity from their past which they are unwilling to let go. Thus the message to wake up and improve one’s thoughts and change for a better future. #Localturnon: Of all the performances you’ve given, which is your favourite one and why? #Hashiso: I always love being on stage and its my first love..but yes..there should be a good audience and their appreciation is my food for soul which gives me strength and energy to do well. One of my favourite performances was when I performed for IBN7 News channel and I was performing LIVE with the whole country watching me. This was the greatest feeling I have ever experienced. Post the performance I got appreciation messages from so many people in person and of course on the social media. #Localturnon: Do you have any interesting fan stories to tell? #Hashiso: Till now there’s nothing such a big story (smiling) #Localturnon: Of all the music you’ve created, which is your favourite one and why? #Hashiso: Every composition of mine comes from my heart and for every creator each of his production is his baby. I have many expectations from “Vicharon ka Pollution” because it contains a very relevant message for all of us apart from me pouring my hear into it. I hope the audiences like it (smiles) #Localturnon: Can you share about some funny incident that happened on-stage / during performance / with you or the other artists / stage members? #Hashiso: Good entertainment is always my priority. some how my name “hashiso” itself tells so much about my performances. “Hashiso” translates into “hasi ka show”. #Localturnon: How has the musical journey been so far for you and what are you looking forward to? #Hashiso: I have learned to express feelings through music and I believe that I am still learning. Through good lyrics, we always find a light in those dark nights. Music journey is my life journey now. In the coming days, I would love to spread good vibes and messages through my music to the folks out there. #Localturnon: Do you have any words of advice for youngsters who are thinking of getting into this line ? #Hashiso: If you are willing to start then listen to your heart and try to improve your quality day by day. Music is an expression of feelings. If you can feel a situation you can make much better music. Be what you’re and what you want be in your life. All the best.
